DESCRIPTION OF STAINLESS STEEL SQUARE TUBE
Stainless steel is a metal alloy based on iron, chromium, carbon and other elements (mainly nickel, molybdenum, manganese and silicon), which makes it particularly resistant to certain types of corrosion.
Stainless steel square tube for stainless steel uprights and handrails made of AISI 304 or AISI 316 grade stainless steel. Satin finish with 240 grit. Handrail tube is 40mm x 40mm (1-9 / 16 “x 1-9 / 16” square) x 2.0mm (5/64 “). 16 ‘length must be transported by ordinary LTL freight carrier and other shipping costs will apply .
Surface of Stainless steel square tube
| No.1 | The surface is finished by heat treatment and pickling or processes corresponding there to after hot rolling |
| 2D | The finishes after cold rolling, by heat treatment, pickling or other equivalent treatment |
| 2B | The finish after cold rolling, by heat treatment, pickling or other equivalent treatment and lastly by cold rolling to give an appropriate luster |
| BA | Cold rolled, bright annealed and skin-passed, the product have excellent brightness and good reflexivity like mirror |
| NO.3 | Polished with abrasive belt of grit#100~#200,have better brightness with discontinuous coarse stria |
| NO.4 | Polished with abrasive belt of grit#150~#180,have better brightness with discontinuous coarse stria |
| HL | Polished with abrasive belt of grit#150~#320 on the NO.4 finish and has continuous streaks |
| 8K | The product have excellent brightness and prefect reflexivity can be the mirror. |
AISI 304 is the largest stainless steel success story. It accounts for more than 50% of all global stainless steel production. You may already know something about AISI 304 stainless steel and its properties. Your tableware is likely to be some tableware (look for 18/8 or 18/10 tableware), pans and even sinks may be made by AISI 304.
In chloride or saline environments, 304 is subject to corrosion. We do not recommend using it for projects close to swimming pools, the seaside or the external environment, because even air pollution must be considered, and in some cases can be very corrosive and may impair the anticorrosive properties of the material. For these applications, we strongly recommend the use of AISI 316 stainless steel grades.
It is recommended that all stainless steel components be stocked, machined, and assembled so that they do not come in contact with residue, dust, or tools previously used with ordinary iron / carbon steel products.
