Resistance, improve resistance to pitting chloride ion solution, and provide higher strength at high temperatures. Improved corrosion resistance, especially against sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, acetic acid, formic acid and tartaric acid, acid sulfates and alkaline chlorides. Its properties are similar to that of alloy 304, but alloy 316 is slightly stronger at high temperatures.
