Phi 9 ~ 100mm of high alloy steel, alloy steel and carbon steel bars, generally a pull; Hexagonal or special-shaped section profiles are drawn twice. The amount of reduction and speed of drawing depend on the chemical composition of the steel to be drawn, the mechanical properties of the required profiles after drawing, and the ability of the cold drawing machine. The absolute reduction of the cold-drawn round section bar is in the range of 0.5 ~ 3.5mm, while the hexagonal section is below 2.5mm. The minimum relative reduction is 9% ~ 19%, and the maximum is 17% ~ 28%. The cold drawing speed is 2.4 ~ 17.5m/min. The larger the blank section is, the harder the steel is, the worse the plasticity is, and the smaller the cold drawing reduction and drawing speed should be.
