DESCRIPTION OF HOT ROLLED STAINLESS STEEL FLAT BARS
Sunning Steel Stainless Products stocks 304 / L and 316 / 316L hot-finished stainless steel rolled and flat steel. We also provide 303 cold rolled flat steel stock. All stainless rolled steel flats are available in stock in standard 12 ‘random length segments. Penn Stainless will also process all stainless flat rolled steel. Our sawing capabilities enable our customers to receive the parts they need to start production.

The vast majority of stainless flat steel sold today is cut and trimmed, mainly due to the wide price differences. When materials need to be polished to ensure a consistent finish on all four sides, the True bar is often used for construction purposes. However, with the improvement of today’s polishing technology, it is often possible to polish sheared edged rods with similar results. There are differences in ASTM specifications between the two rebar types, and these differences should be considered when ordering specific jobs.
